Engineering Technician — Tesla Optimus
Systems Diagnostics · Protocol Analysis · Technical Leadership
Diagnosing hardware and firmware faults on humanoid robots. 5+ years at Tesla across Service and Optimus programs. Building software on the side that solves real problems.
About
I diagnose hardware and firmware faults on Tesla's Optimus humanoid robots — tracing issues across EtherCAT networks, CAN nodes, and sensor systems. When documentation did not exist, I mapped out electrical specs independently to build diagnostic references for the team.
Before Optimus, I spent 5 years in Tesla Service. Started through the START program, progressed S2→S4, and spent over a year on the Tactical Response Team deploying coast-to-coast. I've done bumper-to-bumper repairs, harness splicing, retrofits, and trained technicians across multiple service centers.
I write Python scripts for log parsing and data analysis, work in Linux/Ubuntu daily, and I'm pursuing a CS degree to deepen my technical foundation.
I use AI-assisted workflows to speed up prototyping and verification, and I'm exploring MCP-style tooling in Nourish.AI and Unbound Games projects.
Outside of work, I build software projects that solve real problems — from compliance tools to AI-powered apps. I believe in understanding systems end-to-end, whether it's a robot arm or a full-stack web application.
